Hardwood Floor Restoration Tips
Preparing for Hardwood Floor Restoration
You must be prepared for your floor restoration, as it will create a certain amount of dust.
Closed doors will prevent the spread of dust, and a sheet of plastic to cover areas
where doors are not applicable will significantly cut down the amount of cleanup.
Preparing your home for minimizing the spread of dust along with moving your furniture are your responsibilities, unless otherwise agreed upon.
Be aware that our dust may set off smoke detectors. Be sure to let us know if you are on a central system before we begin.
Electrical Requirements
Allow access to a source of 30 amps/220 volts (dryer plug or breaker box).
Protecting Your Newly Refinished Hardwood Floor
When your floors are newly refinished, give them a day or two to cure. Be sure to use floor protector pads on chair and table legs or anything that sits or slides directly on the wood floor.
